Arriving this Fall...The OPN 2002 is one of Opticon’s smallest barcode scanners, measuring just 1.3”x2.5”, and weighing only an ounce. Designed for mobility, this pocket memory scanner makes barcode data collection simple for anyone. It can be worn around the neck as a lanyard making data collection fast with Opticon’s 100/scan per second laser.

Using this scanner is straightforward with its two button function. Scan a barcode with the large button and it will be stored automatically. If you make a mistake, the smaller button allows you to re-scan the barcode in order to remove the item from the memory. It features 1 MB memory, enough to accommodate over 20,000 scans with timestamps.

For data transmission to a Bluetooth hosting device, choose between SPP, and HID profiles. The SPP profile allows the user to use a data loading tool and configure some Bluetooth transmission settings. For direct transmission without using any tools, the HID profile will fit the immediate wireless transfer needs. In occasions where Bluetooth is not available, the OPN 2001 has a standard USB port. This allows cabled data transfer to any USB device. The USB port is also used to charge the internal Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, or if you prefer, an optional 10-bay cradle is available.
