The OPL9715, a portable batch laser scanner from Opticon, features GPS, a real-time clock and a keypad for data-capture applications that require location and time data and data entry. The OPL9715 is perfect for inventory, logistics, warehouse and retail applications. Since the OPL9715 is programmable, channel partners can create for custom solutions around the OPL9715 using a free SDK from Opticon.

The OPL9715 stores data onboard for later transfer via IrDA through a charging cradle (sold separately). The charging cradle is available with a serial, modem or GSM interface. OPL9715 product highlights include:

Scanning Application The OPL9715 ships with a scanning application in firmware that demonstrates its GPS functionality.  Download OPL9715 firmware application.

Software Development Kit (SDK)
Opticon provides a free SDK for the OPL9715 called the C Library Kit. The compiler, SDK, files, sample code and examples are included.  Applications are written in C and compiled

with a Toshiba ANSI C cross compiler which must be purchased separately. Download OPL9715 SDK.
