Opticon Inc. recognizes the valuable need to protect the information gathered from our customers and visitors; for this reason, Opticon has implemented a Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all information gathered through any web site operated by or on behalf of Opticon. By using these web sites, or participating in any program or service managed by Opticon, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. Opticon will update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When Opticon posts changes to this Privacy Policy, we also will revise the "last updated" date on the Privacy Policy. If there are material changes to this Privacy Policy, Opticon will notify you by placing prominent notice on the Web site. Opticon encourages you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to be informed of how Opticon is protecting your information and to be aware of any changes to the Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into any Terms of Use governing the various web sites and any programs or services operated or managed on or behalf of Opticon. Any changes to this Privacy Policy are effective immediately after being posted by Opticon.

User Name and Password
In order to access the member or non-public pages on web sites operated by Opticon, you must create a user name and password. Opticon does not divulge user names or passwords to any external individuals or organizations. Opticon employees may have access to such information only on a need to know basis. What Is Personal Information?
Personal Information is defined as any information concerning an identified or identifiable individual. An identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. Opticon uses the information it collects from customers as part of its customer database and to provide you with targeted information and offers Opticon Inc. If you do not wish to receive promotional materials, contact us through the web site form posted on or directly as further outlined below.
Opticon may use your Personal Information to operate its various web sites, for Opticon specific customer research, to fulfill purchases by you, to provide any other services you have requested, to address quality complaints that you submit, and to provide online product support. Your Personal Information also may be used to communicate with you regarding your account(s) with Opticon.

Personal Information may be shared with Opticon affiliates pursuant to the service contracts between them to better service Opticon’s customers. However, any affiliates with whom your Personal Information is shared will be subject to agreements to maintain the confidentiality and security of your Personal Information.

Internet Protocol (IP) Address
An Internet Protocol (IP) Address is associated with your computer's connection to the Internet. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site and to maintain contact with you as you navigate through our web site. Your computer's IP address also may be used to provide you with personalized content. Your computer's IP address by itself does not identify you personally.

Aggregate Information

Opticon uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that Personal Information is safeguarded against loss, unauthorized access, use, modification, disclosure, or other misuse.
We take seriously the security of all personal and non-personal information associated with our customers and visitors. We use the encryption process Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to secure transmission of your order. Only those Opticon employees who need access to your information in order to perform their duties are allowed access.

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, if we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete this information from our database(s). If the Webmaster does not satisfactorily address a complaint within thirty (30) days, any dispute, controversy or claim shall be settled by an arbitration administered by an arbitration agency, such as the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"). All arbitrations will be conducted in English. Judgment rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. The costs of the arbitration will be borne equally by the parties.
